A part of me might never forgive you. I might even take one step back. Who’s to blame, though, when a good portion of my years had your name written all over it? Who knows? I don’t. But the better part of me—that which continues to dream—accepts what cannot be denied: you were very much a part of this life. So if and when the past ever visits, I shall greet it with kindness. And when it’s time for me to depart, believe that I will take two steps forward.
