Sometimes we aren’t always the key to someone else’s happiness. Sometimes we have to sacrifice what we want most for the sake of someone else’s needs. We allow ourselves to be replaced by others who can do better, because we want only what’s best for the people we love. And in time they may feel as though we’ve left them, but in actuality, we’re watching out for them through our peripherals everyday. Yes, there will be tears. And yes, the mind and heart will debate their motives. We will want to hold onto their hand, rather than onto old cards and letters. But listen to me when I tell you—that in the end—love is all it takes to get through it all. I speak my mind truthfully. And perhaps it is easier said than done, but whoever said love would be easy at all? Hope for the best, regardless of the separation at hand. We preach unconditional love all the time, so why would this be any different?
